THE OLDEST PARK IN BRISTOL

If you are looking for a place to enjoy the beauty and history of Bristol, Brandon Hill is a great choice.

This hill, which dates back to the 12th century, offers panoramic views of the city and its surroundings. You can explore the Cabot Tower - designed by William Venn Gough which commemorates the voyage of John Cabot to North America in 1497. The tower was opened in 1897 and is 32 metres high with 109 steps to the top.

If you prefer a more natural experience, you can visit the nature reserve on the hill, which is managed by the Avon Wildlife Trust. There, you can find a variety of plants and animals, such as wildflowers, butterflies, frogs, and birds.

Brandon Hill is not only a scenic spot, but also a historic one. It has been the site of battles, protests, and celebrations over the centuries. It is possibly the oldest municipal open space in the country and a valuable asset for the people of Bristol.

The park is a lovely place to have fun and explore nature. It has a playground, a nature reserve, and a pond. You can also see many squirrels, birds, and butterflies in the park.
